British man dies in Thailand after being chased by mob

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012...nd-fleeing-mob

A 28-year-old British tourist has drowned after jumping into the sea in the Thai beach town of Pattaya whilst fleeing a gang that was chasing him and two friends, local media reported on Monday. The body of Patrick Molloy, from Cambridge, was recovered by a fisherman who said the man had been clutching the rope of an inflatable raft several metres from shore but had seemingly lost his grip and drowned.as a sleazy destination rife with bars, tourist scams, brothels and drugs.

I feel sorry for the last person he assaulted.

Hopefully British thugs will start to learn that they can't behave as they do back home and expect to get away with it in Asia.

Going to guess........he tried to play the big man, and picked on a Thai.....or even worse a Thai bargirl.
Very bad move, this is not a place for a farang (non-thai) to get into a fight with a local. It is in the local culture that it is completely acceptable to attack in a gang with any weapons available. Add to this, the seemingly little known fact (??!) that the local men really don't like foreigners, and for some bizarre reason resent western men coming waving more money than they may earn in a year, badmouthing the locals and picking up the women for sex - and at the slightest excuse will attack the said men

I remember once being delayed (even more than usual) getting into the lift at Chungking Mansions in Hong Kong because the cops were clearing up what was left in front of it, of a Pakistani who had been 'chopped' by a gang of locals.

    They use meat cleavers.

It was no gang and they have handed themselves into the police already
"bouncers" security men from the marine disco on walking street
Wilks had a long criminal past as well...........

Acting the hardman in Newmarket is fine but in Pattaya its just plain stupid
