I think they are relatively unknown to anyone outside the Philippines although you might meet the odd Yank.

Not easy to get those days.
I've never forgotten a single minute about that trip.!!!!!!!!
I shall search for your blog and have a read, that far north never really caught my notice in the past, but theres a development program thats being expanded in pinas and thats one of the areas I might get to visit if everything clicks into place

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

I wouldn't move to Batanes. The Chinese have their eyes on it. Aquino was talking about it not so long ago.

I didn't mention anything about the awful journey getting or the regular daily brown-outs.

I get the impression it is a few degrees cooler up there, than down nearer, say, Manila?

    As I thought.....courtesy of wikipedia.

    Batanes Climate

The borderline subtropical climate of the province is similar to those of neighboring southern Taiwan and Okinawa. Sometimes the island experiences below the normal low of 55 degrees Fahrenheit (13 °C) in the winter months.

    Clark & Manila so far.

Much prefer Clark. Nice leisurely 10 minute drive to Angeles without much traffic.
