Seems we have lost another great British character. :(
Feels like he's been around forever, educating us with his gushing enthusiasm.
RIP sir.

He was on 'Have I Got News for You' only a week or two ago.
It would seem appropriate.
I think his was one of the first TV programmes in the 1950s Arthur...although I didn't even know what a TV was until I was 7 years old....because we were living in Malaya and there was no such thing there in those days.
I was getting confused with his brother, Sir Roger Moore.
Another fine example of a true british gentleman, RIP
A bit of an eccentric though he brought astronomy into our living rooms. The world needs eccentrics like Patrick Moore.
Arthur remember's the first episode of Sky at Night ..... it was on his 50th birthday

He also wrote music and could play the xylophone to a good standard.
Sad news indeed. He was a true inspiration.
RIP.
Also of course...the longest running show on TV.
He made it all so interesting sad to lose a gent like him.
RIP Sir Patrick Moore.
A one-off.
Well respected and well liked by all.
