"According to tomorrow mornings Daily Mirror, Ashley Cole’s mum Sue has said that whoever threw the coin at Rio Ferdinand on Sunday should get a medal.

The article suggests that a message appeared on her son Matty’s Facebook page under her name saying “Give the fan who threw it a medal.”

The message would have been swiftly deleted, much like Ashley Cole’s recent jibe at the FA, but that isn’t to say it didn’t happen.

She’s definitely right – ignore the fact that a man was almost blinded for celebrating a winning goal in a football match in front of his own fans, the scum bag who threw it should be rewarded."
