Personally, I think the authorities would be "splitting hairs" if they quibbled about this. But, of course ... ... one never knows in these days of heightened security.

So ... my suggestion - if you've still to apply for your spousal visa - is to enclose a letter with your other docs - explaining the anomaly; I'm sure it's likely to be a fairly common oversight that they'll have seen many times before.

And, besides, if you have complied with all other requirements, then I cannot see it posing too much of a problem - assuming it's already passed NSO scrutiny.

It's not unusual for signatures to be a little different, but if its completely different of course that's something that would concern you.
I sign an awful lot of documents a day and my signature has degenerated into little more then a scribble, however a few weeks ago I went to the bank and had to sign a document and ended up having to sign it again as they weren't happy with my scribble and wanted my 'nice and proper' signature.

This is usually the stage at which any small, otherwise trivial, errors - such as the *misspelling of the names of witnesses to ceremonies [*by municipal civil registry offices] come to light (as happened in OUR case just prior to the start of the Christmas/New Year holdays, unfortunately! ) And, for many couples, it turns out to be the MAIN cause of delay in submitting their applications.

Tbh, though ... signatures - unless they're an illegible scrawl - ought to be less of an issue, given the advanced technology that will almost certainly be in use to detect forgeries at the National Statistics Office in Manila.

Hi there! My signature also varies - i never have the exact same signature....... but ive never had any problems because of this. Now you say that your husbands signature on his passport is different, well the reason for this is probably because when you write your signature for your British passport, you have to sign in a small box - i find it very difficult to write my normal signature in such a small area so the signature , well my slightly ostentatious one anyway.....! has to be really small, this changes the natural flow of your signature! Hope this puts your mind at ease a bit?

... , Myrna ... I do also ... for the very same reason!

On one particular occasion, for instance, I remember being specifically requested by a Post Office clerkess to scrap the form I'd already completed, then fill in another, simply because the customary "squiggle" I normally use underneath my signature happened to overlap the *said box by 'little' more than a centimetre.

My old signature (10 years ago) is completely different from how I do it now. Infact my driving license is different from my passport and my pass to allow me airside at work is different again.

I wouldn't worry to much about his being different on different documents.
