no i don't think so, my stepson still has his mothers maiden surname, we just supplied his and his moms birth certificates when we applied for ILR for him..
my stepson will be going back to the philippines in march next year to study at uni, and come back to the uk in his summer hols, we'll miss our free babysitter

no he's using the same surname hes always been known by, there was no problem getting him ILR. I think the only way for you is for your husband to adopt your daughter ...
