    New government new migration rules???

    does anyone beleive that if Labour are to gain a majority at the next general election they will change the rules on non-EU migration such as minimum income requirement etc ??

    I think they would. They've talked about having a bond instead which would be paid back over time if everyone "behaved"

    This minimum income requirement has tory written all over it, and be under no illusions, if they had an outright majority, it would have been way higher

    i think May has said she wanted to use a higher figure (i'm sure it was £21k or £25k) , but the Libs pressured the gov to use the lowest.
