Now ... if our political masters had the balls to act according to the wishes of the VAST majority of the Electorate - by holding a referendum asap - then I'm pretty sure we'd be outta the EU pronto! There'd no longer be any legal - nor, for that matter, moral obligation for us in to accept the hordes of Eastern Europeans who come pouring into this country ... without the slightest intention of learning English or properly integrating into our society.

I saw that Road Wars it's from about 6 years ago and as you know Slough has become an even bigger cesspit full of human sewage since then.

I'd better watch what I say about Slough - do you remember about a year ago a character on here (MileHigh Club or similar moniker) got most upset about our Slough comments I think he threw the tired old racist accusation in.

In his dreams A persons fondness and acceptance of slough increase massively the further the distance they live from it,its a bit like heaven, everyone speaks warmly of it but no one volunteers to visit anytime soon

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Oh ... undoubtedly, Andy. And, like you, I'm well-aware of that.

That, I'll wager, is the MAIN reason why Scotland's self-seeking First Minister , his equally cocksure wee Deputy and their blinkered "herd of sheep" are so keen to court EU membership as an independent nation.

Racist, my good lady wife is filipino, but if it makes you feel better. We cant do anything about the goverment letting them in without visa, but if people like you didnt house them or give them jobs then they'd be less lightly to come here and bring this country to its knees. Also most of them that come here are no good, as all the well to do people there stay in their own country.. merry xmas.

C'mon members, lets not make personal abuse our methodology.
Debate on the posted issues is the game.

We are all individuals and have differing frames of reference.
Keep to the issue not the person.

Yes ... the same could easily be said for Salmond's vainglorious boast about an Independent *Scotland remaining part of the EU, when he, as *its leading politician, knows perfectly well we'd need to reapply as a separate nation.

... how much better for Scots to align themselves with the Westminster Govt. instead ... channelling their misguided excess of historic, patriotic zeal - fueled by the likes of William Wallace, Robert Bruce & Co back in the Dark Ages - into focussing on the greater good of the United Kingdom as a whole.

Admittedly, Scotland's devolved Parliament and the Welsh Assembly have BOTH served their respective voters well - but Total Independence in either case would amount to a complete disaster economically ... not only for the "new" [even] "sovereign states" but for the remainder of the (by then) former UK itself.

Totally agree Arthur,Salmond is a nutter and hopefully the knowledgeable people of Scotland will see that, but with the young and being encouraged to watch Braveheart he will get plenty of votes-he is a ....... idiot.
Idependence and the revival of old conflicts will only lead to trouble

If everyone who said that actually was serious and did it, the government would have to do something, would probably fall, and so would possibly the country.

These arrogant politicians would be left in charge of the deckchairs on the Titanic, as all the great and good would get the hell out of here, leaving influxes of undesirables, here to use the NHS and claim benefits.........a government all too wanting to give them these benefits..........but with no tax-payers left (That's us, who work our backsides off for these) to pay for it all

There's huge amounts of people would leave Blighty (me included) if :-
    1. They met the immigration requirements
    2. They could afford it

We've considered going back to Japan.
My wife thinks she too young to go to Phils and live the retirement life I imagine.
I could easily find a job in Japan, but can't meet the immigration rules. Carina however can easily find a very well paid job as a carer, especially as she's fluent in Japanese.
It's still a possibility even if I only live in Japan for 3 months at time.
But Immigration rules eventually become a burden

My country is becoming somewhere I don't fit
