They have however decided to permit the migration into Israel of around 7,500 people from India who have now been recognised as being one of the original lost tribes of Israel.
Some Israelis are questioning the motives of the 'lost tribe', believing that it may be more to do with 'seeking economic advantage' over their present poverty-stricken status.
