great news i have got my money back for the gift that never arrived, paypal did get involved and they sent a email saying they have founded in my favor, thats a nice start i think

Good news you got your money back.
I used to sell a lot on Ebay some years ago, but the fees they charged and the fees paypal charged meant it was hardly worth it unless you wanted to sell something at over inflated prices to make a decent profit.

Was ripped off once in the early days when I didn't really understand ebay, was only £15, so lesson learnt on that one. The amount of disputes that people tried on with paypal was the final straw for me. Most saying the goods weren't what was described. Even though I was in the right and paypal saw that all the time, people were always trying it on, so I stopped selling/buying from them. I usually buy from Amazon now.
