I watched this on a recent flight to Philippines and felt it was possibly my most enjoyed movie of the year (maybe even a number of years)
It's a funny, heartwarming and charming diamond which punches far above it's weight due entirely to the superb casting of top-quality experienced actors.
(Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith, Tom Wilkinson, Penelope Wilton, Celia Imrie and Ronald Pickup)
Anyone who enjoys films based around travel will be more than satisfied with the interesting cinematography which is a real joy.
Here is a story about a group of British Pensioners who independently decide to up sticks and leave Blighty to retire to a less expensive and more exotic location (India)
They arrive to discover that the sanctuary for the elderly and beautiful (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) falls far short of that promised in the brochure.
This is a well written mix of stories about how they each embark on a new adventure to discover a that yes, a new life can be made when you finally let go of the past.
Enjoy
