This thread must have struck a chord with me somehow.
So much so that I asked my wife about it.
She agrees with you sars

I was horrified. I told her to check out my wardrobe, to which she replied that she had chosen most of it and that was the only part that was OK.
Those clothes that I'd bought when I was shopping alone are considered (by her) to be odd and are not allowed out of the cabinet (wardrobe).

I've lost all confidence now.

I'd always gotten used to certain comments about my attire, such as 'are you going to wear that shirt?' when I've clearly just put it on.
Or the famous 'you need to change those trousers, they look funny. Why not wear those nice black ones that I bought you?'

Usually I succumb (just for a quiet life)

My well tried and tested clothes shopping technique hasn't really changed in years.
Firstly I decide what I absolutely need, then I go off and buy it, then wear it repeatedly until I need another, and so the cycle continues. Perfect.
Well actually it's not totally foolproof when my wife gets involved but that's life eh.

The other day I bought a new shirt from Next in their sale.
Now having got it home I seriously questioned whether I'm too old to wear it?

Asking my wife she said yes Take it back.

Now what to do?
