    Thumbs up BBC2 Tonight!

    Check out BBC2 tonight!

James May building a glider followed by the excellent Dara O'Briain's Science Club, then a documentary about Neil Armstrong. The evening is then finished off by the sci-fi films "Moon" and the fantastic "Blade Runner".

It doesn't get much better than that!

I've really enjoyed all of them, especially the Lego house and the model railway. i love the mix of science, engineering, geekiness and retro toys. It's a great format for a TV show!

But my favourite show from last night was the Neil Armstrong documentary. He was an exceptional man and his achievments are staggering, even before he got anywhere near the moon. He could fly aeroplanes aged 15 and by 22 had a degree in aeronautical engineering and had completed 70 combat missions in Korea.

The word "great" is often applied to pop stars and all sorts of celebrities thesedays. I can't think of many that come close to Armstrong.

    Very true...as regards Armstrong.

That's an awful lot to pack into one life.
