Shenzhen is the SEZ just over the border from Hong Kong mate,the temps there at the moment are a degree or two above ours,jan-feb are the coolest months,I went to shenzhen a few times from Hong Kong,if you get the chance visit Honkers and Macau,both great places but china is vast,it would take you forever to explore the while country,enjoy your trip
