Slight covering overnight ... mostly turned to slush now. Ugh!
slight cover this morning
When it was just starting....including my commentary.

Well for us this morning was so much more snow than forecast.
Took us an age to get ourselves to the main road in the car.
As we drove East towards Centre Parcs it got clearer. But now we're here it's snowing real hard.
I don't think the snow's very cold... I can still wear my flipflops! HAHAHAHAHA!

Been to Wales and back in the snow today although it took me longer to go four miles on the ring road in Birmingham than it did travelling back from Wales. Traffic was horrendous. Total gridlock.
I've been out and about too (A1/M1/M62), but made sure I shot off home early before the even worse than normal Friday night chaos started.
Also made sure I got my shopping done late last night....no burgers in Tesco.
Been snowing here in York for a while now, but I'm in for the weekend and the car won't be moving anywhere.
Post Office / Royal Mail an absolute disgrace here.
Got my wellies on and trudged up to local sub P.O at 4.40 with a couple of recorded items to meet 5.15 collection. Lady behind the jump said that as of 2pm our local delivery office in town (what used to be called the Sorting Office) had packed up and gone home no more post was being collected from the subbies and Post Boxes. Same goes for the main 8 counter or so Post Office in town they shut up shop at 2pm. It gets more like the third world every day. Whatever became of serving the public and getting the post through.
Mrs D is a Nurse - good job I'm around to take her to work at 2pm and pick her up later tonight
Wonder how the stay-at-home workers would feel if they had to go down to A&E and THEY had locked up and pissed off home ?
What a cool experience at Danesfield Hotel & Spa...virgin snow!

One for the folks back home.
Well it's been snowing here most of the day.
I attempted to get to the main road and made it without too much difficulty. Then discovered that the main road was covered in slippery white stuff.
Wot no gritting ?
Went back home, no provisions today.
I cleaned snow from the car twice. Estimate about 4 - 5 inches today and it's still snowing.
Tomorrow's going to be a nightmare for those round here who decide to venture out.
Been days now ... me and our yorkie still enjoying it
