It's melting here now, but I did have a laugh at this pissed up bloke staggering home up the middle of the snow-covered road last night....with a queue of cars behind him.

I think a lot of it is down to crap drivers, and selfish ones (that abandon their vehicles in the middle of the road for instance ).

It only takes one or two to screw it up for everyone.

I've been driving all over the country for a living for the past 40 odd years and never got stuck...when it has been worse than this.

indeed all it takes is for the one driver to either go too slow or too fast ,

No rain here yet but temperatures way above freezing and the snow is really melting away fast. Amazing how quickly it goes.

Dry, bright sunshine until half hour ago, 6 degrees. You can keep the snow/ice up north

... "on yer bike", Peter! In the nicest possible sense of the phrase, of course!

Thanks Arthur, looks like i'll be in luck. Been raining for about 3 hours already, not so hard but enough to get rid of all the snow.
I was lucky that I bought some mudguards for my bike so I'll be off tomorrow regardless.
    Loking forward to that.
I'll take a trip all around my local reservoir.

I'll need a good bath when I get back

Snow's gone from the grass. Just the hard icy pavements left.

and the car went , displaying run flat indicator, abs fault, dtc fault, brake fluid low

she called the AA this morning, he had seen the errors b4 on this model of car, he drove the car 200 meters and all the errors went away

There's warning lights on all over the place on my boy's Punto.

I just ignore them and make sure it has plenty of oil and water in it.

Runs perfectly and sailed through its last MOT.

    Silly computerised things.

We had a couple of hours too. Big flakes but didn't settle at all.
Hopefully we'll miss the forecast shedload tomorrow

I'll be doing my shopping this afternoon then putting the car away.

Sounds like my poor stepdaughter is going to be up to her neck in it in New York though.
