    Kiwi builder defends Filipino workforce

A director of a New Zealand construction firm has defended his company’s decision to recruit Filipinos to help rebuild earthquake-damaged Christchurch.

Large areas of the city on New Zealand’s South island suffered earthquake damage in 2010 and 2011.

Send him some of "our" Poles

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

As for not being able to get local builders, maybe it is similar to over here. Just try getting a reliable plumber - to even bother turning up.

They must have so much work they can afford to treat customers like rubbish

I agree with you ..Plumbers are a bloody nightmare.. I was in the building game for 28 years and I have never bought a single one a pint... EVER!!
