My wife has a personalized plate on her car in the Philippines. She bought the car new and then applied for the plate herself. I had nothing to do with it!
Funny thing is they call them "vanity plates' here
The problem with a personalized plate is they are non transferable and stay with the vehicle whenever you sell it. Reckons she will never sell it so it doesn't matter.
That's good as it means i will might get a new car one day

Sorry, I just got what you were meaning...the Prisoner series.

I never actually watched it much when it was on TV...just too weird for me.

It did make the car famous though. There have been lots of copies made of Lotus 7s since, but mine was the real McCoy.
