You can go have a seminar and get a CFO certificate without a visa. But you need to return and get a CFO sticker when you get a valid visa (at the start of visa valid date).

If you are the type of person who wants to do everything in one go as much as possible, you might want to attend the seminar which will entitle you a CFO Guidance and Counselling program certificate and get the CFO sticker on the same day. But please consider the date of your flight! Based on my experience, I did this a week before my flight and within the validity period of my visa. Check this: http://www.smef-cow-phil.org/index.p...d=62&Itemid=68

Attending the guidance and counselling seminar is a requirement to get the CFO certificate and sticker. If you are coming here in UK with a spouse/fiancé visa, you have to know the details of your husband/fiancé to write in a guidance and counseling form upon registration to the seminar - e.g. his complete name, UK address and contact numbers, mother's maiden name.

    Hope this helps.

Like filbrit said you can do it all at once if you already have your valid visa on hand. always be ready on CFO, best to do is keep the husband on standby on the line like what Ive done.

On Sept 2012 SMEF-COW has been banned to do Guidance Counselling and issue CFO Sticker. I'm not sure if they managed to settle the case so kindly check the current status at CFO Manila. Anyway, I'm not recommending SMEF-COW since the fee is P250 more compared to CFO Manila

I heard that they closed them down so better research further on SMEF-COW.

I didnt find any problems with them when I had my CFO there. i think the price was reasonable and the staffs were very accommodating. It was a one stop processing agency as well so it was very convenient and not as complicated and crowded as the cfo main itself.

if its open to public then I would suggest to go and try. you can do the cfo counselling and get ur sticker on in the same building.

Hi Meloves, my friends and I had the same good experience with SMEF-COW. They were very efficient. It is a shame if they've been shut.

Hi Vernier, thanks for the info.
