Filipino working overseas on a permit.

Does anyone know if The Border Agency will process a fiance/e visa to UK if the Filipino is working overseas (UAE)???

Hi Shinx. I applied my fiance visa in Dubai on 10 June 2012. I was holding a UAE residence visa. I used VFS Dubai located at Wafi City Mall. There is also one in Abu Dhabi.

No worries she can still apply in Dubai even you're in the UK. However, it's better if you can fly and accompany her on the day of the application.

    Hi Joe.
VFS Dubai/Abu Dhabi would allow him to come in. Trefor was seating beside me when i submitted my application and he even answered some of the questions raised by VFS Rep. Also, when I did the biometrics he's just a meter away.

Never heard about CESOL or maybe what you meant is Cambridge ESOL. Anyway, i forgot to mention the English Requirement. I did take IELTS at the British Council in Oud Metha. Book her test as early as possible, General Test is not frequently offered.

    Good luck on the application
    Don't just try, DO IT!

Shinx, have you reviewed the UKBA requirements for the visa?

Can you comply with the Financial Requirement for example ?

Yes have reviewed it my salary is more than the minimum required and soon will have 6 months payslips. I am not sure about how any savings are calculated and or when required perhaps calculated by salary. We have 2 years contact one meeting and getting my own apartment for 2 very soon...

    Good.
Only savings over £16,000 can be counted towards any shortfall in required income. There is a calculation for it.
Be sure that EACH one of the 6 monthly payslips meets the minimum, otherwise consider category B

    Good luck
