Ah this world gets dafter by the day.
.
Pretentious overpriced operation
...and can still give you food-poisoning.
It takes me 5 minutes to make my sandwiches each morning....bug free, fresh, and a quarter of the price.
I've always referred to them as the pretentious sandwich bar...
Great link there Graham.
Out of all the coffee shops we always seem to end up in Pret, food is good and always enjoy a wiltshire ham bagette. Almond crosciant with an Americano goes down well to finish off.
Not so keen on the coffee served at the likes of Costa or starbucks. Best ones we have found are Monmouth in Borough market or Nude Expresso
At the end of the day Pret`s give their leftovers to homeless shelters.
Why do you people find them pretentious, expensive maybe, for coffee in a paper cup, but we know what we are getting when we visit, like the old Lyons tea rooms.
I'll be honest, I can't afford to waste my money in such ripoff places....neither do I have the time. Each to their own I suppose.
Quite agree.
We often enjoy a snack and a coffee in Pret A Manger.
They have always appeared to me to be an ethical organisation. Unlike so many others
Each to their own when choosing where to eat I say.
Sticking to the original post, to their credit they have avoided a pointless argument, apologised and withdrawn the product. Well done!
