Grandparents details on british passport application

This question is behalf of my friend. Is there any members/moderators and respected members applied british passport recently who have been naturalized British Citizenship and had been asked grandparents details on british passport application in Section 8? Appreciate any advice. Thanks

Yes, my wife had those issues as well. She just did not know the details they asked for and stated so on the form.
When she had her interview for passport they asked her again about her grandparents details. She just said she don't know and explained to the interviewer why.
Even me I have no idea about the details of my grandparents such as where & when they were born and where & when they got married etc.

My wife still got her British passort without any problems.

Hello Terpe,

She recently apply for british passport, IPS sent her a letter asking her to fill it in blank paper her granparents details and send it back. She have to asked her mum to go to the cemetery to get it. This issue might been raised to other members who will apply British passport now.
