Members may be interested that tonight on BBC 1 @ 19.30 (north) Inside out probe Billy Burton who was arrested in the Philippines for drug smuggling. He was jailed in 1992. Billy suffered from Thalidomide. This should be a very interesting watch.

It was just a short piece.

The guy did very well to survive 20 years in jail there, especially considering his disabilities.

He was open and honest about what led him to be in there, and is now trying to make amends by talking to school kids about the dangers of drugs. Good on him.

He also has a Filipina partner (formerly his lawyer/legal adviser I think).
