In various ways (Bailouts, QE, liquidity support) since 2008 we have given the Banking sector One Trillion pounds of public funds whilst impoverish those earning an honest living and needing our support. All this while the economy has contracted and the debt and deficit have increased and the country's AAA rating has evaporated.
A London School of Economics study revealed the growing gap between the fat cats who sparked the financial crisis and the workers now having to pay for their mistakes. 'Bankers' pay has rocketed 14% during the recession compared to 3.7% for the rest of us.
No doubt George and Dave will be doing the rounds blaming the last Government in between visits to the third world promising 24hr visas.

Is anyone really silly enough to believe the UK economy has it's pants down below the knees?
Most of these economic forecasters are not to be trusted. They are the same ones who claimed all the data proved the wonderful health
of global economies before the 2008 crash, when they were anything but.

The state of the UK economy as judged by the available data and these 'experts' needs to be questioned.IMO

Even these so-called experts still have no explanation for the current state of the economy and the continued downward trend of unemployment.

Personally, I think Andy has a valid point. The whole thing is a mismanaged mess.

If Osbourne was serious about his strategy to maintain the AAA rating then everthing he did should have been towards that objective.
    Means he should have succeeded.

Just like politics and career management economic disasters come and go.

Rant over. Hang on to your hollyhocks dears and watch this funny video instead:-
