So guys just tell me if we missed anything..Will apply for fiancee visa next month and here are the list of our documents to pass..

Sponsor's documents;(original and photocopy)

1. Passport
2. Birth certificate
3. Divorce decree
4. Cover letter and letter from his parents
5. Wage slips (6 mons.)
6. Bank statements (6 mons. ) - he will include bank receipts as well
7. Letter from the council ( wedding sched.)
8. Tenancy agreement
9. Utility Bills
10. Property photos and including the photo of our wedding ring and receipt
11. Proof that we'll have a small gathering after the wedding (receipt/letter)
12. Letter from work (stating that he really works there)
13. Work contract
14. Western union slips
15. Iterinaries
16. Hotel receipts
17.Driving licence ( i dunno if they will need it,but we're still going to provide it)
18. TV Licence


My documents are ; ( original and photocopy)

i don't think diploma and tor are needed so you really don't have to worry with that one,, you have passed the english test anyway, that will be enough, you don't need proof of your qualification.

And the rules will change on April 6th. Just keep a eye out for them. The english test is only valid untill October 2013. After that she will have to take the life in the uk test. If I am not mistaken.

No, that's incorrect.
The English Language Test certificates have variable validity depending on which test is taken. IELTS is valid 2 years, others have no expiry.

No. That's not correct.
Life in the UK test is not replacing the English Language Test for Spouse Visa application.

I am just so gratefull that my wife got her spouse visa 2yrs ago it just keeps getting more difficult & more expensive to obtain a settlement visa its scandalous that ukba can just keep moving the goal posts whenever they feel like it
My sympathies are with everyone goung down thus road at the moment

If they're applying for Fiance(e) visa and getting married in UK there'll be no need for CNI as the marriage bans will be posted here.
In so far that Mariam has her CENOMAR all will be OK

I think you are right McGregor03. CNI is asked if a British Citizen decides to marry a Filipina in the Philippines nowadays. I do not blame you. I was the same before I lodged my application. I also insisted before that he get CNI but he wasn't able to secure it. He e-mailed the Local Registry Office to keep my mouth shut. The reply convinced me that it is no longer needed. I would be happy to send you a copy of the e-mail if it gives you peace of mind.

Thank you for your e.mail.

On 9 May 2011 the law regarding foreign nationals marrying or forming
a civil partnership in England and Wales was changed. The law now
requires foreign nationals to give their notice of marriage/Civil
Partnership at a designated register office at the same time as their
partner.

Prior to the new laws coming into force we had been advised by UK
Visas that Entry Clearance Officers (ECO) at British Embassies were
not permitted to request evidence of pre booking of notices of
marriage/Civil Partnership and this was detailed in DSP 13.9... The
situation then changed and for a short period of time I am aware that
ECO’s at many British Embassies were seeking such evidence.

DSP10:10 now advises that registrars will need to see the entry
clearance before a notice of marriage will be arranged / taken.

The Registration Service of England and Wales will not provide any
written confirmation that a notice of intention to marry or intention
to form a civil partnership or a ceremony is booked, as it is not with
in the statutory duties of the Superintendent Registrar to do so. It
is not possible for either party to a marriage or civil partnership to
commence legal preliminaries in England and Wales without the
permission's from the Embassy / Home Office being in place.

If the Embassy insists on this evidence, please ask them to contact
our office direct so that we can discuss the matter.

We have taken this matter up with a representative from UK Visas in
England in the hope that not too many people will experience a similar
problem, and I have been assured that ECO’s will be contacted to
advise them accordingly.

While we appreciate this response does not resolve this matter for
you, we hope you can forward it to the appropriate person at the
British Embassy so that they can contact this office to discuss the
matter further.

A 'No Trace' marriage letter is no longer availble to anyone apart
from a British national who is marrying overseas. As you wish to marry
in England or Wales the letter is not available for you.
