The comet PanSTARRS is visible to the human eye in the Northern skies at around sunset. I'm off to see it this evening. Cloud cover is 50/50 so hopefully it either stays that way or clears up.

I did get a good view of the Andromeda Galaxy and the Orion Nebulae, we did meet this little guy though

......................... 's so true!! I was chatting to my one remaining aunt on the phone last night. Born on April 1st 1918 ... she'll be 95 this coming Monday, and she was telling me she'd NEVER KNOWN such a bitterly cold March.

......... caricature of my aunt is perhaps 'a little' (unfairly) inaccurate, as she still has "all her marbles", lives on her own in Kirkcaldy, doesn't use a walking stick and frequently travels to Edinburgh by train - without assistance.
