This is arguably the biggest year of changes since this Government's first in power.

Thanks for this good news! - I didn't know these changes would take place. (I only read international news, not local news! ) - My income is still less than the (now lower) upper threshold, so I'll actually pay a few hundred pounds less tax this coming year - Woohoo!

If you subtract all the rises in the cost of living gas, electric, fuel etc you might think twice.

Probably, but at least for the time being, all of that is included in the rent I pay in my flatshare. Let's just hope the landlord doesn't raise the rates anytime soon!
