Hi Mism and welcome to the forum
Perhaps you can tell us a bit more about yourself and your situation to enable us to answer your question.
Financially it's probably cheaper to apply for spouse visa as if you arrive on a fiancé visa you then have to apply for FLR (m) once you're married. Apart from the obvious expense this can also take up to 9 months to process and this restricts you from working in the UK until you receive it.
Plenty of good threads on here to help you decide have a read of this one for starters and come back with any specific questions. Plenty of free advice available

That may not be the case.
If he can show that he received a gross earned income of £18,600 during the 12 months immediately preceding a visa application, then meeting the financial requirement under a category B would be fine.

    Good luck with your planning

    No, that's not possible.
I meant he does not need to wait for 6 months payslips etc before application. But he must be employed at the date of application and he must be earning a gross salary at the required level

, Mism ... to read about the effect your fiance's redundancy is likely to have on your migration plans.

Hopefully, he'll soon be able to secure suitably-remunerative alternative employment.
