I watched this 30 mins documentary last night on C4+1

Those who watched will (like me) be shaking their heads in disbelief.
Hundreds of managers need to be fired for incompetence and gross misconduct. Period

I've no intention of recounting the 'shambles' and subterfuge of UKBA management, it would just be another rant.

Agreed that it is a shambles. The worst thing is that a bunch of temps are making the decisions! However, one has to wonder how it got to this point. The backlog seems to contain a lot of human rights appeals - I wonder how many are people who should be long gone and how many are genuine. I think they need to separate all the human rights appeal cases off and have a new department manage/process them.

I agree. The Sheffield office seemed to be run like Fawlty Towers but it's not funny. Re catagorizing cases just to manipulate the figures is appalling. I'd like to think if Theresa May watched the programme she might be jolted into doing something. It's also quite clear that we need to implement a system of counting people in and out of the country.
