    Pets

    Hi all
This week I took my dog Charlie who is now 2 years and 4 months old to the vet for his yearly check up and jab booster.

Charlie is a very placid playful dog who thinks everybody he meets is a friend!

He has of course been to the same vets before but not since his last booster a year ago, anyhow when it came time for me to lift him up to the table he lay flat out on the floor with his legs spread straight out so I could not easily get my hands under him, the vet seemed to expect reactions like it and scooped him up herself, he was then fine and allowed her to inject him with no flinching.

He always readily lets me pick him up at home.
It seems to me that he remembered being there a year ago!

    Mick.

My dog did not like going to the vets too. He was fine whenever we're at the waiting area, but whenever it was time for him to see the vet, he would just sit by the door and won't go inside. My brother and my dad used to carry him just to go inside and put him on the table. He was always restless the whole time we're inside the clinic. And after his jabs, he would immediately run to go outside and wanted to go home right away..Hahaha..dogs are just like kids.

A good for me habit Charlie has developed during the long winter, is while he will happily walk about all day,
at night especially if raining, on his last "toilet break" before bed he does not want to go further than a tree by the rear entrance to our flat, he then heads straight back to the door.

My two cats were funny too, Smudgy hates the vet and will be like a starfish trying to get her into the box, while Scampy (god bless him, who passed away last year) would get in the box and when at the vets, would love to explore the room before jumping back in the table for his jab. I miss my cats, and I am still very sad about Scampy, he was the best friend I had back then. Photos of my boyDSC_7944.jpgIMAG0001.jpgIMAG0002.jpg
