Lightbulb Honorary Consul in Cebu will retire on 19 April

Our Honorary Consul in Cebu will retire on 19 April. For urgent consular matters, please contact the British Embassy Manila.

Brendan Gill, Consul of the British Embassy Manila reminds British nationals in Cebu to please contact the British Embassy Manila for consular matters, especially Certificate of No Impediment (CNI) applications.

    Mr. Gill said:

“Moya Jackson, our Honorary Consul, in Cebu retires on Friday 19th April. In the interim period, and until her successor is officially appointed, all CNI applications and other matters should go through consular section, British Embassy Manila. We apologise for the temporary inconvenience.”

Excellent news, she is an absolute nightmare as a consul, unhelpful and stated on numerous occasions how the position was too much work for her....

That's what I thought I'd read on here before that she was a time serving waste of space

Maybe I caught her on an off day, but I visited her initially to get some certified copies of official UK government documents. This is a basic job of a consul, but she made it incredibly difficult for me, and we ended up having to call the UK Embassy in Manila to clarify things. She was quite offhand and rude throughout.
Yes, I appreciate its a voluntary position, but if she doesn't want to do it, she should have resigned years ago.
I know of other people with similar experiences.
