I remember coming back from Great Yarmouth after a big piss up when I was a lad.We got on the wrong train coming back and got dumped on a tiny remote station to wait for train to take us back.
We all stood with toes on edge of platform saying can you hear that.....
Next minute WHOOSH the train came from the left rather than right and nearly took our heads off
Amazing we never heard it til it was upon us!, not like the old steam train, that you heard chugging
