It's official: Samsung is coming out with two large smartphones, dubbed Galaxy Mega, in 6.3-inch and 5.8-inch variants, a tech site reported.
Engadget said Samsung had confirmed the 6.3-inch model will have a 1280 x 720 resolution, even as the 5.8-inch model will not be sold in the UK, but may appear elsewhere in Europe.
"Both are apparently headed to Europe some time next month, continuing to prove that Samsung are willing to test out any screen-size," it said.
Engadget said the 6.3-inch model has an HD display (720p) and a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, Android 4.2 and an 8-megapixel camera.
It will have software like Air View, Multi Windows, and Pop-up Play, and is expected to support LTE and HSPA, along with GPS and GLONASS.
A 3,200mAh battery and expandable microSD internal storage up to 64GB will round up the features.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 will have HSPA only and a resolution of only qHD (960 x 540).
It has a less powerful 1.4GHz dual-core processor, though it may have the same 8-megapixel camera
