For once I agree with you. Tony Blair's idiotic government has a hell of a lot to answer for.

He always wanted to create a legacy, well this is part of the mess that makes up that legacy.

In years to come we will look back and see how much destruction he caused to the UK.

As for blaming others this government has had 3 years to sort these things out and failed.

Simply because it is going to take longer than 3 years to sort out the mess that Bliar and his fellow hypocrites left us with after 13 years of mismanagement.

THEY were in charge when the country was heading for financial meltdown AND being over-run with immigrants.

How long would it take you to recover from bankruptcy ?

To withdraw from it or supersede it with a Bill of Rights would be incredibly difficult. Once it's in the legal system it's almost impossible to get it out.

It was in the Conservative manifesto in 2010 but they had to put it to one side as part of the coalition agreement if I remember correctly.

There is an argument that to repeal it would result in being thrown out of the EU. That is too big a decision to make by any government without a referendum.

Blair really f***ed us up with this one.

I honestly think that in about another 20-30 years people will look back and say that the Blair Government was the turning point when the UK really changed for the worst, possibly with no return.

    Terrorism
    Immigration
    Economy
    Europe
    Illegal war

    Thanks Tony.

Were it not for the barriers put up by "human rights" conventions, the apologists and handwringers it would be that easy
