After the 3G auction no way were the companies going to pay over the odds and in the long term (The amount the treasury lost will nto make much of a difference) will be better for the nation as 3 and 4G will now be pushed out more and more around the country with the Phone companies not needing to price so high to make a profit.
With so many devices using wireless data links let alone field workers and of course the boost e commerce will get it should have a massive impact on the nation and its economy
3G took years to get going mainly because the companies were so desperate to claw back money and even in 2006/7 many companies were still not using for field workers as to expensive!!!
