Well of course (just after I joined this forum), that was exactly my plan...overland to Hong Kong, then on to the Phils.

That's why I still have 100's of quids worth of cycling and camping gear in my spare room.

I then decided that I didn't want to be away from my son for such a length of time.

If you do decide to give it a try one day please start a thread before you go so that we can all follow your journey and cheer you on.
