Isn't democracy a wonderful concept in action.

Well to be honest with you I dislike and distrust Politicians the world over... This vote buying lark is about the only time that ordinary Filipino`s benefit from the political hierarchy so I say good luck to them.
I doubt that in most cases it affects how local people vote as each candidate pays approximately the same... Filipinos are usually quite happy to take the cash from both sides and then vote with their conscience!!

Do they actually gain from the political hierarchy? Short term maybe but definitely not in the long run!
