punished for being the victim of what is likely the worst sort of crime
countrys with such backward laws like this that offer no protection to innocent , should be made a no go country for forign visitors and workers
Quite agree.
Every time I see one of these reports about these primitive toilet states I post it up for my Philippines-based relations and friends....as a WARNING.
This is just totally unacceptable in the 21st century, and so-called 'Human Rights' laws are a total joke.
Without the oil these would still be riding their camels and pitching tents.
Dubai is only 4 hours from us, but whenever we cross the border we become well aware of the change in rights and laws. With the bars, brothels, parties and expat hangouts you could easily be hoodwinked into thinking you were in a normal first world country, until you break the laws that you never realised existed.
Driving on the roads as an expat, you know that if you have an accident with a local, it's your fault...
Glad, I live in the only Middle East country on the Philippines good list, at least I know that my family have rights.
One can only hope that that confidence never has to be put to the test Ricky.
