Can I bring my cellphone in VFS building?

I read a blog post that I can leave my cellphone and bag at the guard's counter.

Does this still hold true at this moment?

Hi... My wife and i were there a few weeks ago they will ask you to leave these at the guards counter and will give you a receipt for them...
