    there's a big difference between being "in love with the person" and "being in love with love"...and the latter always mistaken as a real love so when romance fades in a relationship the so called love fades as well.

    What I don't understand about all this is the worrying possibility of the wife taking the British born children back to the Philippines.
    Can a wife take them out of the country and, apart from the husband hiding the kids passports, how can he make sure the kids will remain in the UK?
    Gwapito's marriage seems completely over but if she has ILR and a British passport she will be able to leave with them and come back whenever she wants.
    He will lose out as he will not see the kids for a long time.

    My brother works at the Foreign Office, and he's told me some pretty scary stories about British kids being taken out of the country, never to be seen again, or virtually impossible to get back from the partner who's taken them.
