If there are any manufacturing businesses in the Fils who are interested in dealing with the UK please get in touch. I import machinery and equipment and would like to help any businesses in Fils if i can (and help myself too of course).

Hey Dom,
Its taken me 9 years to teach the Italian companies i buy from to finish a machine before they send it!
I have even got them to paint most of it now too. and make it work before the customer gets it!
As for having a Filipino experience? - ohhhhhh we wont go there again
I can vouch for that: we used to own an old peoples farm, and it needed a new passenger lift, just a simple 2 person, 2 floor lift. The factory in Milan took 6 months to build it, and then sent it out to us with many parts missing. Then it was the wrong size...the last I heard (we sold the business 2 years ago) the current owners of the farm are still pursuing the matter in the courts.
Ever wondered what FIAT stands for?

Hi Aromulus.... I'm reading between the lines.....
Mark..What kind of manufacturing machinery??
I am confused now! - again lol
I dont know where the manufacturing machinery came from?
What i mean is - if there are any manufacturers in Fil who would like to sell into UK then i may be able to help them.
I already import from Italy, Finland, Germany and France - oh and china.
Mark.. What kind of machinery? There are lots of different types.I import machinery and equipment and would like to help any businesses in Fils
Right thanks Mark..We got there in the end...Whew!!
You never know..I`ll keep my eyes peeled and ear to the ground..
The one problem here is that local products are not that clever when it comes to saftey ,Nothing is made with a british standard code and very little would deserve one..
A lot of the machinery here used by local & foreign contractors etc are second hand surplus from countries like Japan and Korea..
Take motor vehicles for example..The most popular and disirable SUV here is still a Mitsubishi Pajero (Shogun in UK)..They buy them surplus from Japan and then convert the steering and transmission to left hand drive,re spray them and sell them on..When they are finished they look like brand new vehicles..
Can`t comment on Cebu..
There is a guy next door to us that does up these Jap exports and anyone of them would pass a British MOT.
They really do a thorough job before they put them on the forecourt..
He`s doing one at the moment..When I get a chance,I`ll take some photos and post them here.
