Married in Phil, husband still in Phil can I get divorce in Europe ?

I am asking for a friend.

She is Filipina but now has dual Philippines/ Spanish nationality. She has lived in Spain for 16 years, during which time she has not visited Phil.

Her husband is living with another woman in Philippines and they have two children.

Can my friend apply to the court in Spain for a divorce from her husband ?

(The husband would not contest a divorce)

The situation would be the same if one were to substitute 'Spain' for 'UK' and 'Spanish' for 'British.'

If the circumstances and the Divorce Laws are the same in Spain as in England then the answer is yes.
Provided that she files for divorce as a Spanish National
