Something ain’t right here ….. and I’m certainly not accusing you of fabricating a story.
Things don’t add up.
Were these guys wearing a uniform ? … did they show you ID ? … did they tell you where they were taking your wife ? … which police station ?
Let’s (hopefully) assume they were the police (and immigration officials), your wife’s details would have been on the UKBA database, and supposedly her biometrics.
This should & could easily have been checked at the station versus her name, address and d-o-b.
So why the delay & lack of communication ?
If they showed no ID, (no uniform ?), and ordered you out of town…… this has to set alarm bells ringing.
I’m not trying to panic you….. but basically your wife has been abducted by person/persons unknown who were impersonating a police officer.
Your first & immediate step is to go to your nearest police station and report this as an abduction.
….. even if it turns out not to be, at least you (via the police) will be able to locate where she is, and get the ball rolling to get her released.
