The Metropolitan Police is using a new tactic to deport foreign criminals, using immigration tribunals instead of criminal courts.

'safeguards' for defendants what about the safeguards for the victims , offload the problem to another country - we should handle problem citizens from other countries

I like the handwringing line from the lawyer bloated on legal aid money :-

"this practice just offloads the problem to another country"

I see the situation that it isn't our problem and the foreign criminal scum are being given a free of charge passage back to their country of origin

The unit has identified 40 “predatory rapists” convicted overseas but living in London as foreign nationals

Excellent work by the Met. Let's hope other forces follow suit.

I'd prefer investment in pre-entry checks rather than a hugely expensive task once they're here.
