Yes, handy that you don't need to go in for renewal as often.
I believe it's only about 100 pesos more than the combined existing cost for that length of time.
For people who have previously been paying agents each extension (with their acompanying fees), should work out cheaper.

My friend has just come back from immigration and he was given 6 months without any problems.
I`m hearing that you cant get it from the embassy in London.. Sounds like you need apply just before the 59 day visa expires..
