Hi I'm married to a British citizen man we have 2 children and we are currently separated now.i granted ILR due in case of DV from my partner. How many years before I could apply for British citizenship? I'm not divorce from my ex partner.we are only separated at the moment. Am I qualified to apply after 3 years of living here knowing we are not living together but still married to him or should I wait for 5 years of staying here before I could apply for British citizenship? I will appreciate your advice.thank you

Another question, am I going to take life in UK or Past the ESOL test if I will apply the British citizenship? I was exempted before when I apply for ILR.they didn't let me take the exam anymore.I'm not sure now if am I going to take test for an application for British citizenship

I think as your still married to a British Citizen, you can apply under the 3-year provisions.
