Haven't been to Glasgow for quite a few years.
We had a long weekend break there once and really enjoyed it. Some nice eateries
Shopping is good too (so my wife said)
At that time there was still stark evidence of city-centre social problems, but have no idea these days.
Its actually Edinburgh but don't tell Arthur and Doc Alan!
Really? ... 'cos, for a moment there, I actually believed you, as - like your home city - Glasgow has gained lots of kudos over the past 25 years, ever since it succeeded Liverpool with its very popular and well-attended 'Garden Festival' of 1988 and earned itself the title: "That Dear Green Place"!
The thing that sticks in my mind about Glasgow is the splendid architecture of Easterhoooose.
