Steve if you didn't know already, to be present at your baby's birth you need to talk to your wife's ob gyn, and she will give you the help you need. Even as the baby's father we still cant go into the delivery room without the ok from certain doctors, i found that out the hard way, and i missed my baby girl's birth. Just in case you didn't Steve. Good luck to you my friend and enjoy your new baby it really is a blessing.
Thanks for that Sean. I do intend to be there this time as I missed my son being born. My wife fell over at our farm and was rushed to have an emergency cesarean 6 weeks early This time because our babies are so close the doctor has told us that we will have another cesarean. I know that being in an operating theater might not be a regular thing, but I will certainly press them into allowing me to be there. After all, we are paying for the pleasure.

I will be sure to let you know how things transpire.
I hope all is going smoothly with your little one so far. Do you have any photos of her yet?
