Hi everyone.
I discovered this forum just recently. Very informative
I am a farmer living in Northern Ireland and my fiancee is a wonderful filipina woman who lives in Davao. We are intending that she applies for the visa next April and we are getting together all the paperwork that we think we need.
I have 2 questions at the moment and I would be grateful for any help that anyone could give.
1. Is there such a thing in the U.K as a "certficate of no impediment" which shows that I am not married? I have never heard of such a document but have read in other sites that it is needed
2 It says on the UK visa site to have your passport certified by a public notary. Where do I find this person to sign the photocopy of my passport? What is a public notary?
Sorry if my questions seem basic but I have no real idea about the immigration process. It was a surprise to me to fall in love with a filipina woman , but a real joy too and I just hope to spend the rest of my life with her. Hopefully we can go through the visa application process without too many hiccups.
Thanks in advance to any replies. Great site
