Those interested should visit the battle of britain bunker at the old RAF Uxbridge, its open most weekends, tickets are not required just a donation and its a fascinating tour as there is so much memorabelia to photograph.

Indeed ... AMAZING to think all this took place several years before folk of MY vintage were even a mere "twinkle in their mothers' eyes"!
